I recently spent a little time photographing the clock tower at Southwest University Park. The tower features an art piece showing a visual history of El Paso printed on glass. The glass looks great in both daylight and in the evening when it is backlit.
Because of the dramatic difference between the exposure required to properly photograph the glass and the rest of the image I captured three manually bracketed exposures – one for the glass, one for the sky and one for everything else. The photos were imported as layers into Photoshop CC and manually blended to keep just the best parts of each of the images.
