Galerie Max Hetzler in Marfa, Texas reached out to see if I could provide photography services for a new exhibit they had coming up. Fortunately, as a private pilot and airplane owner, the required trips to Marfa were no problem at all.
The project consisted of multiple trips. The first two were focused on capturing the pieces for archival and promotion purposes. The final trip’s purpose was to capture the installed pieces. Here are some images from the final visit.
All photos in this set were captured on my Phase One medium format system. It offers unparalleled resolution, dynamic range, and color accuracy.
I also stayed to capture some exteriors of the gallery building.
The next morning I made the short flight back to El Paso.
I’m available to provide photography services throughout the country and specifically able to easily get to the more remote locations in the southwest such as Marfa, Alpine, Fort Stockton, Pecos, and beyond.
